World Botanical Gardens Trails and Special Areas

Rain Forest Walk

The entrance to the main Phylogenetic Garden is through a section of rainforest, with a roadway/walkway following alongside a babbling stream. A few hundred yards in a secondary stream joins, which arises from the Kawailani Springs. At the juncture of these streams is a rain shelter.

The rainforest has tall trees, wild bananas, heliconias, ferns, and other forest plants. Taking a turn away from the stream, the roadway leaves the rainforest and enters into the Fern and Conifer sections of the main Phylogienetic Garden.
